It is a wonderful book with many powerful messages. I really enjoyed it. What a terrific read!!!
I just finished the book...Wow...wonderfully inspiring and beautifully written...I'm better for having read it!!
I received the book and am finished reading it. It was inspiration that I wanted and I certainly got that. Canada is indeed lucky that you decided to come here.
I would like to congratulate you on an excellent book, by far one of the best books I've ever read. It is inspiring and so full of wisdom. I was raised in and left Ethiopia when I was fairly young and I am most thankful for how much of the Ethiopian history I have learned about from a very personal perspective. The emotions and nostalgia, yet the confusion about 'belonging' are in my daily thoughts and feelings. This book has helped me a whole lot to make peace with it all. Thank you very much! You're truly inspirational!
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. We are really lucky to have been born in and raised in a country like Canada. We take it for granted!
If you haven't read the book on Ted Jaleta, I would recommend it. Boy, when we think we have it rough, we need to just think of where he came from and the obstacles he has gotten over. Wow!
I could not put it down till I was done... It is a wonder anyone got fed Sunday dinner that day... That is just how riveting the book really is!!
Ted, I have been blessed by your book. I am glad that you took the time and effort to get your story down on paper. Some parts must have been very tough. I am really glad that Peggy and Deana were able to hear those tough parts and not shy away.
Never Give Up is masterfully written and worth savouring.
I want to congratulate JDC Productions for the fantastic book you have produced. It is totally awesome! I enjoyed reading it so very much!
The Grade 4 and 5 students at our school are passing your book around between themselves. 'When you're done with it, give it to me,' they're saying.
I read your book this past weekend and it was so interesting I couldn’t put it down – I read the first section (Ethiopia) in one evening and then the second half the next morning. Although I found it was saddening to read of the trials you went through, I found the overall theme really uplifting and encouraging. I hope that you can promote this book nationally and in the U.S. because I think it’s as good as any book out there.
I wish all young people would read this book. It’s well written, well presented. I learned so much. I was touched and inspired by it.
